It is all hard work and determination of an artist who after having a classical training perusing for playback singer in Bollywood. It was the legendary Javed Akhtar, who was convinced after listening to her voice to make sure that Madhushree’s voice one day will make mark in the Industry.. .and he was right.
It was no looking back for her… she worked with music directors like ARRAHMAN, RAJESH ROSHAN, SHANKAR EHSAAN LOI, HIMESH RESHMIYA, BAPPI LAHIRI, PREETOM, AND MANY MORE Kabhi Neem Neem, Kabhi Shahed Shahed was the turning point in Madhushree’s life. She got nominated in all major awards and bagged also them.

Lage Lagan, her private album reveals her capacity to sing in semi classical, thumri, in fusion, while Pal Ek Ehsaas is rendered in modern styles like Rock, Soul, Hip Hop, etc. Zee Music recently released her single Bawra Na Bann, in which she surprised her fans with jazz. At present, Madhushree is judging a music reality show on Zee Bangla’s Saregamapa along with Jeet Ganguly, Kumar Sanu, Santanu Moitra and Palak Mochchal. Magic M, her five-member live band accompanies her on live shows across the globe. Veteran wordsmith Javed Akhtar has this to say of her: “Madhushree ki awaz Lata-ji aur Asha-ji ke mishra hai, jo apni manzil tak pahooch hi jayegi.” Indeed, her voice is a happy melange of Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosale, which shall find its destination!
